Andrew Wyeth was best known for his works that were on the modernist’s abstractionist side. Of course his most famous and most critiqued painting is “Christina’s World”. He himself has often stated that the painting could have been better without the girl in it, but I have that Wyeth is wrong, that she makes the painting. Wyeth would often paint nature scenes, but also would do the here and there paintings of portraits and indoor scenes.

As I looked over the two sites I went to and looked at the images, Wyeth had strong lines and gained the attention of the viewers with the art. All of his art work has balance with light and dark to where items go within the painting. I also saw that a lot of time went into finding that right color to make the painting the best it could be.
