2)Advancements like these, allow books and prints to be made with out the danger of the block breaking every few prints. It also would allow the ability to record important information that needs to be recorded.
The biggest thought would be that the cost of making each block would go down and they could spend more time and money in making the prints to sell to the people.

3)The photocopier is the modern day printing press. You are taking an object that is already made and making copies to produce. They are similar due to the principle of what they do. They make copies of an image. They are different due to the letter press you have to put the letters in the place you want them by hand. Over time those letters will need to be replaced. a photocopier you have done the work already by means of a computer and the letters do not have to be replaced.
